The Ontario Dirt Late Models presented by Hotch’s Autoparts were delayed by one week in making their annual trip to Brighton Speedway due to Mother Nature, but for #3 David Scott of Garland, Pennsylvania it was worth the wait. Scott cruised to his third win of the season and captured the series championship in the process in front of the large crowd on PartSource night.

The 30 lap main event featured hometown driver #57 Charlie Sandercock on the pole with #90 Mark Glassford on the outside. When the green flag dropped and the racing began it was apparent the point’s contenders would make their way to the front quickly. Points leader Scott started 7th, one row behind second place point man #22 Greg Oakes. The two drivers along with #2v Chad Valone charged towards the front. Three early race cautions slowed the opening laps of the race, but by lap 6 Scott moved passed Sandercock for the top position.
