Brighton Speedway Ready for 4th Annual Great Crate Race on September 6th; Humber Nurseries Increases Winners Share to $6000

The McDougall Insurance and Financial Great Crate Race at Brighton Speedway continues to be the biggest Late Model event in the region.  This year will be the fourth annual event, and will now pay a record $6000 to win, not including thousands in lap sponsorship and contingency awards.

McDougall’s Insurance & Financial returns as the title sponsor for the fourth year of this 65 lap event, with additional backing from Excel Tower Service, Brighton Speedway, Humber Nurseries, Hotch’s Auto Parts, Dibbitt’s Excavating Ltd., John’s Equipment, Tenacious Racing, and Finish Line Web Design.  The total purse with awards and contingencies will be in excess of $ more

This year’s event will be part of the Go Nuclear Late Model Series and a record car count is expected with competitors coming from Ontario, New York and possibly even Pennsylvania and Ohio.  Local favorites such as Greg Belyea, Charlie Sandercock, Phil Potts, Adam Turner, Caley Weese, Corey Earl and several others will battle other Go Nuclear Late Model series drivers such as defending race winner and two time defending Go Nuclear champion Dale Caswell, Rick Miller, and a host of other.

In addition to the Great Crate Race on Saturday night, Brighton Speedway will also have the Canadian Modifieds on hand with big money for them as well with the $2000 to win Danny Reid Memorial event on the same night.
